The Reminiscing

My journey at Amal Academy started at a time of hopelessness and undying anxiety about the future. Despite finally getting closer to graduation and eventually graduating, I was not sure of what the future held for me and what I want to focus on next in life. It would be fair to say that joining the Amal academy at that indecisive time in life was one of the best decisions I have made. It was the beginning of something exciting and promising.

project works and twilights in gaon (village)

The very first 2 weeks were an amazing transformation for me. It was a paradigm shift from someone who didn't see a way into a successful person and doubted her abilities to someone who now believes firmly in herself and has faith that she is capable of doing anything she wants to do in life.

Choosing the right path

When I joined Amal, my family had recently moved to our village and I spent half of my Amal journey in my village. Through the other half, we moved back to the city. The other night I was scrolling through my IG and looking at all those pictures I took of our house back then and it took me back to the initial days at Amal. And I realized how impactful Amal Academy has been in my life.

Peacocks are natural alarm systems :D

In the first week, we were assigned to make a life map and the very first assignment was so transformative because that was something I had never aligned or thought about before in life. It gave my goals a stronger perspective and showed me the right way to work on. One after another project work with Amal, different levels of my potential to be who I want to be started unveiling. And I’m glad the beginning of this journey is associated with the feeling of being in my village. Even though the signal issues there were inevitable (;D) but it’s a very peaceful and quiet place to be and helped me focus more keenly on my goals.

The sweet scent of existence

My early days of completing project works and that sense of achievement are associated with the peaceful time I spent in my village. The vast sky will always remind of endless possibilities in life, the rich soil will remind me of the seeds of patience necessary for growth, the tranquil air will keep me hopeful for good things ahead, the scent of greens in the air will remind me of the hard work put into making something and you always get the fruit of the tree you take care of.

Mehnat kay Rung (colors of diligence)

I am forever grateful to Amal Academy for allowing me to be a part of their big lovely family and for giving me such beautiful memories that I will always cherish.
